A SLEEPING GIANT HAS BEEN AWOKEN AND HE'S NOT A DEMOCRAT

I have been considering what my next posting would be about, and there are just so many things to explore, I think I'll stay with the same theme that I feel is so much important to average Americans. We have been so deluged in pro Obama propoganda by the mainstream media ,television, magazines, ie: Men's Health and Fitness whom I subscribe just put him on their latest cover, probably the first person to make there cover that currently smokes cigarettes (real fit guy ) , if it were not so serious to us all, it would be laughable.

I really think the liberal elite truly believe that average Americans can't see around the hype and spin that they so magically create around there candidate. There hangover, and yes with the drunken enthusiasm for Obama will come a hangover, and I believe that there headache will begin in the early hours of November 5th, then I think they will then see the might and the will of "WE THE PEOPLE" the people that Thomas Jefferson was writing of, the people that our forefathers had in mind when they gave us the right to control our own destiny. What the liberals just don't get is that our government exisits by us, not for us, and cannot exist without our saying so. The power that "WE" will inflict on election day will leave all the liberals scratching there collective heads for a reason that is so obvious to "WE" that were left wondering why they still don't get it. Please liberals don't get to upset when you lose next tuesday, and please don't stop making your movies, sitcoms and music, it would be all so boring without you.

And when Obama is elected, will that mean that the will of the people has been thwarted, or that you were wrong? If not thwarted, then are we Obama voters fools or madmen? I worry that the republicans will follow the tories of twenty years ago in England and conclude that we are fools. The tories were dominated by idealogues in safe seats with no incentive to re-examine their political theories. The tories are just now recovering. (hat tip to andrewsullivan.com) But the wilderness will be good for the Republican party and it's the only path for the next Reagan.

Scott O. You are not fools or madmen, you have just "lost your senses."
Do you believe this election is already over? It seems that, you agree with most Democrats, who belive while in the minority they should be heard just as loudly as the majority. Then, when in the majority, even slightly, have a mandate.

Would someone please agree with me on the obvious? Democrats do not "work with" repulicans like they claim. Obama would not even try to convince republicans on the bail out because "I don't have much clout with them." While our nominee has worked with democrats more than his party even wanted.

I find myself, as a conservative, having to go above and beyond to prove to democrats that im not a gun toting crazy redneck. Even hiding the fact im conservative in some situations. Why it never seems to be the other way around proves to me who is open minded and who works with who.

Please liberals, stop making movies, sitcoms and music that pander to only your beliefs. Stop using these things to try and get your message out. Stop trying to have at least one person from every race, background, or sexual preferance in these movies and sitcoms. It seems more racist and bias to me that you even have to think of these things.

Just to poke the bear: when you say "WE THE PEOPLE" the people that Thomas Jefferson was writing of, the people that our forefathers had in mind when they gave us the right to control our own destiny," do you mean to exclude everyone that wasn't a white land-owning male? Because I'm pretty sure our "forefathers" did.

Is that why they came to America? There was not enough white land owning males. While white land owners was a theme, there was always an underlying idea about FREEDOM. Those forefathers got us here, did their best I'm sure.
So you are saying that there was not one person in the whole bunch that thinks the way you do. Not one person concerned with all the races of the world?
I have to belive there is at least one person, in every time, in every country around the world that holds the same beliefs you or I do.

I may have been unclear. The "We the people" of the constitution deemed slaves as property and counted each of them as 5/8 of a person for the purposes of apportioning congressional seats. While it had very little to say about election laws, no state allowed women or slaves the right to vote. My point was that the author of the blog invoked "the people" of the constitution and their vote, and one might conclude that in doing so did not include women or free blacks. Of course, I know that this is not what he meant (which is why I said I was poking the bear), but when invoking the forefathers, it's important to keep a historical perspective.
